Founders Day – 11.15.2009
Southern California’s Annual Founders’ Day Celebration was hosted by the South Bay Alumnae Group at the Manhattan Beach Marriott. It was a terrific event with over 400 Sigma Kappa’s participating in the luncheon.
Our Orange County Alum Group enjoyed the Founders’ Day luncheon and joined for a photo at our sales table.

Valentine Crafts & Alzheimer’s Philanthropy – 10. 2009
Creativity was unleashed for valentine making for the Alzheimer’s Daycare Center & Seacliff Nursing Home.
Residents and patients at the Seacliff Care Home were thrilled to receive the beautiful photo calendars, plus the handcrafted Valentines fashioned by our group.

Driving Toward a Cure 03-28-09
Inaugural Event - Driving Toward a Cure! Calling all vintage (1974 or older) and classic car and truck owners!! Please reigster and support this important cause. This Charity Vintage Car Show exists to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's Disease. Registration checks (tax deductable) made out to Sigma Kappa Foundation, a 501(c)(3) group, which generously gives to Alzheimer's research.
The car show is on Saturday, March 28th, 2009 from 9 am until noon. The gates open to participants at 8 am. Car registrations are $30 and spectators are $10. Children under 12 are free. The car show will be located in the spacious parking lot of St. Wilfred's Episcopal Church, located at 18631 Chapel Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92646 (off the 405 freeway, near Beach Blvd and Ellis Ave).

Before the vintage car show to support Alzheimer’s reserach, Sigma Kappa’s handed out flyers to advertise the event.
The Vintage Car Show was a festive, fun event. These Sigma Kappa women worked hard on the day of the event, but took a break to share their smiles for the camera.
The Savage family was excited to learn that their 1911 Model T Ford car won the People’s Choice Award.
Stephanie Kennedy won the car show’s Best of Show award for her pink 1955 Ford Sunliner Convertible.
